What should I expect at my first mediation session?
Your mediator will explain the process, outline ground rules, and allow both parties to share their concerns. The goal is to identify issues and start working toward an amicable resolution.
Do I need a lawyer to attend mediation?
No. Mediation is designed to help families resolve disputes without going to court. However, you are welcome to seek independent legal advice before or after your mediation session if you wish.
What happens if we can’t reach an agreement?
If mediation does not result in a resolution, our accredited practitioners can issue a Section 60i Certificate, which allows you to apply to the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
How long does conveyancing usually take?
Conveyancing timeframes vary, but most property transactions take between 6–8 weeks from signing the contract to settlement. Our team will keep you updated at every stage.
Is mediation confidential?
Yes. Everything discussed in mediation remains private and confidential. The only exception is if there is a risk of harm to a child or another person.
